JM Smucker becomes the most recent food maker to eliminate artificial colors of popular brands

Smucker said this commitment, announced on Friday, will affect its sugar -free fruit distributions and ice cream accessories, as well as certain products from its host brand portfolio.

The company also said that it works with its distribution partners so as not to sell FD & C colors at K-12 schools during the 2026-2027 school year.

Smucker’s, whose family of brands includes folgers, Dunkin ‘, Café Bustelo, Jif, Inlapable, Smucker’s and Hostess, said that most of their consumer foods are already free of FD & C colors, including most of their products currently available for K-12 schools.

The company has previously eliminated the high fructose corn syrup from its unmatched sandwiches and introduced fruit fixations with ingredients from all natural sources, as well as the reduced sugar options.
